DVD Fun - Evolution

Evolution. Yes, it's sorta dumb and a bit of a wanna-be Ghostbusters and considering Ivan Reitman directed both, not completely surprising. But, I thought David Duchovny and Orlando Jones were quite funny battling the extraterrestrial beasts that evolve in rapid succession after a meteor strikes their little college town. Plus the Ghostbuster himself, Dan Aykroyd, makes an appearance as the state's governor all too willing to let the military nuke the extraterrestrial mutants. Jones, of 7-Up commercial fame, delivers some of the most hilarious lines. Maybe I was just in a goofy mood, but I kept thinking of some of the scenes with Jones later and busting up. Oh well, I can appreciate low-brow humor. If you can too, you'll probably like this one. And remember, "There's always time for lubrication!"
