Tulip Festival Fun

We've been meaning to get out to the Tulip Festival in Woodburn for the past few weekends, but the dag-blasted rain has been non-stop. Well, the rain was still around on Saturday as was the wind, but there were some merciful sun breaks and so we took GF's new camera and headed over to the flowers. As usual they were amazing, but because of the serious mud, we decided not to walk up and down the rows and just take a few shots from the edges. If you are ever in the Willamette Valley between the middle of March and the middle of April, it's really worth a drive out to see. Miles and miles of tulips in every imaginable color as far as you can see. A real treat.

Girlfriend inspecting the tulips. She wants me to plant one of each color in the yard.

Beeeeeuuuuteeeeful colors. What you can't see here is about a 30 mile an hour wind blowing with a 20 degree chill factor. Can you say ice-paws?
